A book with blank pages is positioned on a vibrating surface under a glass cover. The book is laid open in the middle and its hollowed-out pages are filled with sand. The vibrations gradually change the micro-landscapes in the sand, making the trembling book appear as if it was simultaneously writing and erasing itself.
